Job Description

Our client, a reputable firm providing services to the financial firms,  currently have an opportunity for an experienced Legal Professional to complement our Legal division. The purpose of the role is to form an integral part of their team specializing in Commercial Law, working in-house to support the business across an array of legal and compliance maters. 

On our client’s behalf we are looking for a Legal Advisor experienced in working in-house. The position offers responsibilities in actively providing practical, business-oriented legal advice, counsel and recommendations on significant issues, and assist in the different departments’ day to day legal maters. Furthermore, your work portfolio will include work revolved around acquisitions and investments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate and close commercial contracts.
  • Review supplier service agreements, intercompany agreements etc.
  • Assist the business with the legal aspects of pre-contractual work
  • Provide the legal function to support a fast-paced rapidly growing and expanding range of businesses and operations.
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice, counsel and recommendations on significant issues, and assist in the different departments’ day to day legal matters.
  • Perform legal activities related to acquisitions and investments, including leading due diligence reviews and negotiations of purchase and sale agreements.
  • Monitor and provide guidance on applicable laws and global regulatory compliance that impact the Group’s current and potential businesses.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2- 4 years’ experience, preferably in the technology and online sector, including several years at a large law firm or a boutique law firm specializing in the technology and online sector (in-house work acceptable as well).
  • Ability to draft and close day to day and commercial agreements with minimal support from senior staff.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively within a complex global group with a globally distributed team and a fast-paced business environment.
  • Registered with Cyprus Bar Association
  • English at mother tongue level.

The below will be considered as an advantage:

  • General commercial law experience.
  • Experience in high-tech, on-line/web platforms, software, information technology, data privacy, Fin-tech, banking, e-money and similar fields, are a significant plus.
