The company is a privately owned shipping company, operating two handy-size vessels, is seeking to recruit a Russian speaking Financial Manager/Accountant
Description:
· Recording of book-keeping transactions and preparation of financial statements;
· Maintenance of the general ledger;
· Preparation of monthly, quarterly, annually management accounts and reports;
· Handling of correspondence with third parties and liaison with the local authorities on accounting and administrative issues;
· Communication with external auditors on the issues related to accounting and book-keeping;
· VAT/VIES Reporting (if required);
· Maintenance of cash book, including daily reconciliation of the bank accounts and internal control of payments;
· Preparation of payment instructions for banks, filing of receipts and payment instructions;
· Communication with banks regarding providing all required information upon request of the banks or a companies’ directors (also with Russian banks);
· Preparation of annual tax computation, tax planning;
· Computation of provisional tax in accordance with an estimate of profit for the year;
· Processing of the Company’s monthly payroll (if required);
· PAYE and Social Insurance computation and submission forms to authorities;
· Preparation and submission of all necessary monthly and annual employee’s personal tax returns to the Income Tax Office (for 2-3 persons) (if required);
· Assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and Company’s long term strategy
· Provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
· Responsible for the budgetary planning; analyze and evaluate budget requests in alignment with the Company’s strategic plan. Monitor budgets throughout the year
· Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
· Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
· Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
· Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
Russian speaker (is a must) & good English skills
· At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
· Experience in cash management
· Knowledge of IFRS, Company law of Cyprus
· Very strong MS Excel/ Word skills
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
· Semi-Qualified ACA, ACCA, AIA, CPA or equivalent
· Working experience within a shipping company would be an added advantage.

Remuneration & Benefits
Initial 3-month probation the salary will be €2,000.00 Gross per Month.
Upon successful completion of the probation period, the annual NET salary will increase to €2,500.00 per month.
In addition, there is a medical insurance and mobile phone expenses plus 21 days annual holiday.
