Role Overview:
The Software Developer Senior will design and develop database driven, robust and user-friendly ASP.NET based web applications.
They will take ownership for daily project needs and collaborate with colleagues to define, understand and evaluate business requirements.
The successful candidate will be required to understand complex functional requirements and have the ability to provide technical solutions to these problems, including the implications of different designs to the overall system solution.
Key Skills/Experience:
- 6+ years development experience using ASP.Net, VB.Net and C#
- Advanced knowledge of and experience using any of the mainstream .NET development languages
- Good working knowledge of ASP.NET application frameworks and experience developing multi-user Web applications using ASP.NET
- Experience developing .NET Window applications using WWF, ASP.Net MVC 6 and/or WCF
- Strong understanding of object oriented programming paradigms plus experience using Microsoft Visual Studio in a development environment
- Proficient in SQL. Oracle and PL/SQL and a good working knowledge of relational DBMS
- Experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and a general understanding of IIS are also a strong advantage
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills - ability to gather and analyse information and draw logical conclusions while identifying the root cause of problems and providing options for resolution
- Ability to convert complex business requirements into clear and detailed technical specifications
- Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and in writing
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology
