Accountant (536/HRS) – Suitable for young professionals

A well established local bank
Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated young individual to join an already established large accounting team. Main responsibilities include:
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and year-end accounts under IFRS
• Prepare and post journal entries, perform reconciliations and maintain general ledger
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and management reports
• Prepare regulatory returns
• Ensure adherence of accounting practices, classifications and reporting to compliance and regulatory standards
• Handle tax and VAT issues
• Liaise with regulators, tax advisors, auditors and other associates
Profile of the ideal candidates
• Member of a professional accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CPA) (newly qualified) or studying towards completion (partly qualified)
• 3 years of experience in the audit profession or in the accounting department of a Bank/ Financial services
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• High levels of energy, drive and commitment
• Self-motivated and results-oriented
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Good knowledge of Greek and English
