CFO duties and responsibilities
The CFO will be assigned the below tasks:
- Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
- Make sure that all deadlines are met with the collaborating audit firm and achieve good communication of information required to carry out the audit requirements
- Provide strategic recommendations to the owner of the business as well as members of the executive management team
- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
- Advising management team on long-term business and financial planning
- Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
- To direct the accounting team in preparing all necessary financial data for the compliance department in due time
- Generally to review all formal finance and related procedures
CFO qualifications and requirements
This is a demanding position to head a group of companies with extensive activities on a world wide scale, thus a high level of experience is expected for anyone applying for this role. A Bachelor’s degree in the following will be expected for this role:
- Accounting
- Finance or Economics
It is a requirement that the applicant has had experience with working within a financial institution, so as to correspond to the needs of the group.
The applicant mst be able to demonstrate excellence in the workplace, as well as display a cohesive ability at interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.
They must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organisation and exercise sound judgement.
