Job Description

Our client is a well established and reputable investment firm with offices in Limassol and abroad. They are CySEC and FCA regulated and they aim to give an excellent customer service and deliver a high quality product to their clients. They are currently looking for a Senior System Administrator to add to their dynamic team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and fail over procedures
  • Lead desktop and help desk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
  • Review Application Logs
  • Manage monitoring systems
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
  • Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent command of the English language. Greek and/or Russian is an advantage
  • 3-5 years managing servers network administration, or system administration
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, Hyper-V, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Sound knowledge of implementing and effectively developing help desk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Ability to respond to help desk requests after hours on a limited basis as well as occasional weekend maintenance
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
